The trial and choosing a plan

What the 7-day trial includes, the four options on day 7, and what changes when you move between them.

The 7-day trial

You start with a 7-day trial on the web, and you do not need a card to begin. The trial ends at the end of day 7, at 23:59 in your business's time zone. A thin trial bar shows on every page with the days left. From two days before the end it says to pick a plan by the end date, and its Pick a plan link takes you to your plan.

Your four options

After the trial you choose one. Each tier includes everything in the one before it, and Pay per booking includes everything.

  • Pay per booking. The whole software, no subscription. ServeCounter takes a percentage of every completed service, booked or walk-in, however it was paid: online, by card or in cash. Products and gift cards are not counted. You set it up on the web.
  • Booking. The Calendar, your online booking page, reminders, customers and the mini website. It also has the birthday message, intake forms, customer list filters, feedback requests after a visit, the waiting list, each person's working hours and days off, and the share kit.
  • Booking + POS. Adds the Point of sale, online payments and deposits, products, gift cards, loyalty and finance reports. Each card payment at the chair and each online payment carries a small fee.
  • Complete. Adds newsletters, saved segments, discount codes, rebook reminders, consent forms with a signature, staff management (rosters and shifts, clocking in and out, leave, payslips), chair renters and your own domain.

The amounts are on the prices page. You can also pay by the year, which costs less than twelve monthly payments.

A payment method on day 7

On day 7 you give a card or a SEPA direct debit mandate for ServeCounter's fees. You do this on the web, and you cannot skip it.

If you have given no method by the end of day 7, your business is paused until you add one or pick a tier. A banner tells you so.

"Booked with ServeCounter"

A small "Booked with ServeCounter" line shows on your booking page, on your booking widget and in the emails your customers receive when you are on Pay per booking or Booking. It is removed on Booking + POS and Complete. It never appears in a text message.

Changing option later

  • Moving to a dearer option starts at once, and you pay for the rest of your billing period.
  • Moving to a cheaper option, or to Pay per booking, starts on your next billing day.
  • Your billing day is the day your plan started. It does not move when you change option.

In the apps the tiers are bought in the store and cost more than on the web, because the price includes the store's share. Pay per booking is always set up on the web.
