How do I stop no-shows?

Ask for a deposit when customers book, and remind them 24 hours before. A no-show keeps the deposit.

How does a deposit work?

You set it once for each location, as a percentage or a fixed amount, and a service can set its own. The customer pays it online when booking, by iDEAL, card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and sees what is kept before paying.

What does a no-show cost the customer?

The deposit, if the booking has one. A customer who paid in full gets back everything above the deposit. Without a deposit, a no-show keeps the service's no-show fee, at most 50% of its price.

Who decides that it was a no-show?

You do. Fifteen minutes after the start, the app asks if the customer arrived. A no-show is never automatic, because it keeps the customer's money.

When are reminders sent?

The default is 24 hours before, and each has a link to move or cancel. Email reminders are always on. Texts are off until you switch them on, and each text is charged. A second reminder is optional.

Can I undo a no-show?

Yes, the same day, while no money has moved.
