Delete your ServeCounter account

How to delete your ServeCounter login, a whole business, or your customer account, and what happens to the data.

Delete your login

Anyone who works in a business can delete their own login. In the app or at app.servecounter.com, open Your account › Delete login. Your sign-in, passkeys and sessions are deleted at once. You stay in the business's own records, such as who served an appointment or made a sale, because those records belong to the business. The only Owner of a business cannot delete their login while the business exists: delete the business first.

Delete a business

Only an Owner can. Open Business details › Delete business and confirm with the code we email you. The business closes at once: the booking page goes offline, bookings and sales stop, staff can no longer sign in, and future appointments are cancelled with a full refund. For 30 days the Owner can still sign in to look, download the export, or restore the business. After 30 days it is deleted for good. The Owner's own login is kept, and can be deleted separately with Delete login.

What is deleted

After the 30 days: the business's customers, appointments, sales, payments, invoices, receipts, credit notes, day reports, messages, services, settings and staff.

What is kept, and for how long

Dutch tax rules require a business to keep its sales records, invoices and receipts for 7 years. Before deleting, download the export: everything in one zip, every invoice, receipt and credit note included. If you tick "Keep a read-only archive for 7 years (free)" when you delete, or at any time in the 30 days, we keep those records for 7 years and send you a copy on request, for example for a tax check. Without it, everything is deleted after 30 days, tax records included, and the export is your copy to keep. Our own invoices to you, the Statements, are kept for 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires of us.

If you booked as a customer

If you have a customer account for booking, open Your data › Delete account. It is closed at once and deleted after 30 days; signing in during that time lets you restore it. The businesses you visited keep their own record of your visits, anonymised, where the law requires them to keep it.

Can't sign in, or want us to do it for you? Email [email protected] from the address you sign in with, and say whether it is your login, your customer account or the whole business.
